Yogurt does contain dairy, a common allergen so dairy should be introduced safely first.
Under twos should have full-fat yogurt as babies need a lot of fat at this age to support cell structure, metabolism, brain, gut, immune, and nervous system development.
Don't be afraid to add herbs and spices to baby food, it can help to cultivate adventurous little foodies.
If you would prefer a smoother sauce, you can blend the mint, garlic and lemon together before mixing with the yogurt.
Do not add salt if serving to a baby.

Mint Yogurt Sauce
Ingredients
- 4 sprigs Fresh Mint (equivalent to 2 tablespoon of finely chopped mint)
- ½ Garlic Clove ,minced
- ½ Lemon , juice of
- 1 cup (250ml) Full Fat Plain Yogurt
- Salt and Pepper to taste*
Instructions
- Finely chop the mint leaves, discarding the stalks, and add to a mixing bowl.
- Add the yogurt, garlic and juice of half a lemon to the bowl. Mix until combined.
- Season and adjust to taste.
